Yuki Ohnishi, MD presented TAFRO syndrome on The Clinical Problem Solvers 3/17 VMR which is a rare and complex disorder.
This multisystem inflammatory condition poses a diagnostic challenge and requires a multidisciplinary approach for effective management.

Inherited non-hemolytic disorders of hyperbilirubinemia are genetic conditions affecting bilirubin metabolism exclusive of red blood cell breakdown. These disorders disrupt bilirubin excretion or conjugation, leading to jaundice.

The POWER of pattern recognition and reviewing every study to learn subtle clues.

Anna Fretz makes the final dx based on imaging alone. MARVELOUS.

There is a correlation between how quickly a diagnosis is made and outcome. You do NOT need a study to prove that. It is common

Kudos to Channel 4 for producing a documentary on the Southall and Brick Lane riots. As a child, I witnessed riots aginst the far right and the trauma from being targeted by skinheads after school. When asked about the UK, this is what I recall.

SPEP, SIFE, SFLC, UPEP, UIFE.

What do these abbreviations mean & how does one arrive to the land of paraproteinemias?

Here is a tweetorial for the internist diagnostician, in collaboration with Cullen Lilley, MD, MS, MA, MB(ASCP)!
