In Germany, it definitely does depend.

Unless someone is imminent danger, we have to keep confidentiality. Lots of anonymous consultations happen!

Absolutely love this. Love the reframing.

I often ask those that seek pure autonomy, imagine if someone autonomously chose the exact opposite approach to you. Is that okay?

It's why agency is far better. Great work Matthew Evans

Some thoughts on concepts as connections over time

The reason that the concepts and big ideas in the subjects are helpful is that they are like ‘holding baskets’ for a lot of information.

They are like the boulders across the curriculum that gather more moss over time.

Tes EEF Prof Becky Francis John Morgan I don’t think that’s actually what the evidence says, at least in maths. I wrote about it a while ago…

To set or not to set, does the evidence add up?

Mathematics education is a great way to see genetic stratification happening.

Individuals with higher educational attainment polygenic scores tend to do higher-level mathematics courses and persist with mathematics education for longer.

Wonderful post

Schools should ‘celebrate individual progress and support students to make informed decisions about their futures after they have been exposed to a curriculum that explores the world of possibilities that are open to them’
