One of the best ResearchED events I've attended. I'll be there talking about how we can make learning more challenging. Come and say hi!

Making Year 6 children sit SATs papers at this point of the academic year is completely unnecessary and a waste of teaching time

#PrimaryRocks 'Greater depth' and 'higher score' boundaries are not helpful and if we abolished them then lots of schools might spend less time trying to boost how many of these they have, and more time focusing on the children who would never 'pass' a test but need the most intervention.

I got some truly vile DMs after this thread a few years ago and almost deleted it, but now he, his brother and a colleague have a professional conduct panel hearing next week. Interesting.

Not my favourite thing to happen, especially now I am working 45 miles away from home for the second half of the week and I was supposed to be at governors tonight 🙃

Also can’t help feeling sad about the world when I was sat on my own on the pavement next to my car changing my tyre at the side of the road with lots of pedestrians just walking by without acknowledging me. One lovely person stopped to cheer me on before going into their house!
