It is right and proper that we are discussing exclusions at primary as a serious concern. Inclusion is a vital & at times difficult business.
But people, we really need more talk about going further up river to prevent those children and families from falling in, in the 1st place

Very much of the view that the education sector needs to be more open and responsive to parental perspectives HOWEVER genuinely concerned that Heads do not have enough protection from what can amount to parental harassment and vexatious lawfare

I cannot stress highly enough to teachers applying for jobs that giving specific examples of your experience/practice lifts applications above those that just refer to applying policies or adapting learning.
Everyone can say they do stuff, but showing it is often more effective.

It's amazing how often organisations with an interest in exclusions seem genuinely to believe that an exclusion is the first sign of any issues in a child's life rather than a result of many! And make no effort to investigate any further.
