#pupdate I have been trying to teach the Mrs how to jump the broom with a hazel pole. I requisitioned it from the vegetable garden. I do like a nice long stick because you can trip the humans up with it.

Today I will mainly be painting just for myself.

Every year something has a bumper season. Last year it was blossom in the hedges this year it’s violets. The farm track is swamped in them. They are growing in the grass by the house, in the woods & meadows. It’s just violets everywhere and that’s SO important for our butterflies

#pupdate I had cheese on toast for lunch today and now I’m having a little sleepy time, before my afternoon walkies, on a fireside chair in a pool of sunshine ……it’s a dogs life

Lovely to see the wet area in the woodland where the water rails live full of the bright yellow marsh marigolds again.

#pupdate in my humble opinion there is no better way to round off a lovely day than by having a good romp on the beach with my mates Wilf and Nelly
