Felt honoured to talk to the The Church in Wales | Yr Eglwys yng Nghymru Governing Body, about the importance of clean rivers & what we can do as a society to protect these habitats, along with the Archbishop Andrew John & James Wallace, from RiverActionUK!
(No surprise; Bangor University
wetlands research featured!)
My Wetland News newsletter this week includes all the usual wetland & water news, research and jobs.
Plus a bit of an indepth look at Steve Backshall's 'toxic' Thames story, that we did the analysis for at Bangor University!

Happy Bangor University students finishing their laboratory session for my Life in Wetlands module. Finding out how #peatlands can save the world!
Was happy to help Bangor University honorary lecturer, Steve Backshall, get some river water samples tested in our labs. You can see Steve talk about the results below. Spoiler: it's not great.
Don't panic! If you missed this week's Wetland News - you can still catch it on the Substack website.
Though to make sure you never miss another of my free weekly updates on all things #wetlands & water related make sure you subscribe to the newsletter!

This is such an important issue, but often overlooked!
I'm probably quite 'old fashioned' because I prefer devices with the least electronics possible, but it's simply because I want things to last. Buying a necessary item once, is the most #sustainable action we can take!
