#FrescoFriday is here and that can only mean one thing: grape outfits are back on the menu. However you celebrate Friyay, we recommend a good dress and Bacchus really comes with goods when it comes to fashion. Party on!

For #FontsOnFriday, this beautiful font can be found in St Anietus in St Neot's, Cornwall, which is best known for it's remarkable stained glass. We love the mini window carved into the font ⛪ 📸 (c) Michael Garlick

Discovered at Towcester in Northamptonshire, this striking Roman carved head probably decorated a mausoleum outside the town known in ancient times as Lactodurum (and its expression is not unlike mine on coming home from a lovely long holiday this week☹️) #FindsFriday

#FindsFriday Among star finds from #Saxon Prittlewell Prince burial in Essex were #glass beakers w trailed lattice decoration. Beautiful + rare, so similar they were likely made as a pair, in Kent. Few other examples are known, almost all in high status burials. Southend Museums

For #FindsFriday, we have three 8th-century pennies (sceattas) from Bermondsey Square, found near middle Saxon remains, potentially representing grave goods. Learn more about the complex history of the area in our new monograph: pre-construct.com/.../bermondsey… #Archaeology #AngloSaxon
