Great to be out on the doorstep in #Balham this evening for one of me and Cllr Lynsey Hedges’s regular street surgeries for residents. Lots of issues to get to grips with! 💙🌳

Shocked by the acid attack in Clapham yesterday evening. Me and Cllr Lynsey Hedges have already heard from a number of residents concerned about their safety following this horrific incident. We’ll be working closely with our Balham Ward Policing Team team to ensure safety concerns are paramount.

The Metropolitan Police have named the man they want to speak to in regards to the corrosive substance attack in #Clapham yesterday evening as Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, aged 35. Full story: news.met.police.uk/news/update-ma… #Balham

Despite the heavy rain ☔️, a very productive evening out in #Balham tonight with Tom Pridham 🇺🇦, James Crouch, Ksherja and Charlie speaking to residents about the work me and Cllr Lynsey Hedges are doing locally. Lots of issues to follow up on!

Disappointed that Labour councillors voted to impose a 7.7% rent hike on social housing tenants on the Lochinvar and #Balham Hill East and West estates last night. Me, Cllr Lynsey Hedges and @Wandsworth Conservatives councillors backed a rent freeze.

Out on the Lochinvar Estate with Cllr Lynsey Hedges and our #Balham team. Residents are outraged by the Labour administration’s indefensible 7.7% social rent hike. Labour aren’t working for @Wandsworth; @Conservative councillors are out and about all year round.

Great to be out in Balham earlier with Cllr Lynsey Hedges and Suzanne Moezzi speaking to residents about local issues. Lots of topics for us to work on - from addressing concerns about crime to improve street cleaning.

🤢It's concerning to see mould on the walls of #Balham tube. Not only does it look awful but there are also concerns about its impact on health. Me, Cllr Lynsey Hedges & our Conservatives Mayoral candidate Susan Hall have written to Sadiq Khan requesting urgent action to remove it.

Great to bump into Jeannette, one of @Wandsworth Council’s excellent team of enforcement officers, who help track down those that carelessly fly tip rubbish across the area. This is one of the issues residents contact me and Cllr Lynsey Hedges about most often. Cut it out! 🚮

This is terrible news - both Bowls and Hagen & Hyde are legendary local venues in #Balham. If there’s anything me and Cllr Lynsey Hedges can do to support these businesses or their teams as local councillors, do get in touch. Wandsworth Council

In politics, it’s always good to thank those who have helped. Good to be in Battersea today, helping Cllr Lynsey Hedges and Cllr Daniel Hamilton get their Annual Report out to Balham residents. Battersea Conservatives helped me so much in the recent election. 🙏

More complaints today about #ClaphamSouth tube station being closed due to staff shortages. Frequent closure not only impacts commuters but also local businesses who rely on the footfall. Cllr Daniel Hamilton and I continue to lobby and hold TfL to account.

Over the past few months, Cllr Daniel Hamilton and I have been working closely with Balham’s Community Safety Officer and Balham Ward Policing Team to address ASB linked to rough sleeping outside Balham Library. The area will be cleared early Sept and preventive plan underway. Thanks to all

Good to be at Balham Library Library with Cllr Lynsey Hedges this evening to meet with residents, council officers and Balham Ward Policing Team representatives to discuss ways to make our streets safer. 👮‍♀️

This is one of most regular complaints me and Cllr Lynsey Hedges receive. Residents are rightly angry at constant random closures of #ClaphamSouth tube at peak times. It’s important TfL remedies their endemic staff resourcing problems and provides the tube services residents need.
