Just a reminder that rewards can actually harm intrinsic motivation. Children don't need certificates, stickers, prizes for things that they enjoy doing for its own sake. Just recognise, acknowledge and verbally praise a job well done, good effort etc. It's cheaper too. 😎

Aspiring to be happier doesn't make people unhappier as people have claimed. The problem is judging how happy we are (feeling we should be happier at certain times). The key is to accept our emotions and relax into the moment as it is. Interesting read greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/h…
