Apparently MHCLG taking 2-3 months to prepare and sign grant funding agreements after funding level approved. Meanwhile materials costs going up and eye watering interim costs still being paid. This is scandalous!

CLADDING - Managing agents of blocks are refusing to sign contracts with government to release cladding funding. The dispute is delaying work to make buildings safe & increasing financial pressures on flatowners. Thnks to Britton House Cladding Action Group⁩ ⁦Manchester Cladiators⁩ bbc.co.uk/news/business-…

Anyone else experiencing delay with BSF because grant funding agreement being changed by MHCLG? We’ve now been waiting for weeks for an update - ready to start works and can’t. Soul destroying!

Found out today my elderly neighbours have moved out of their flat as they’re concerned they couldn’t get out in time if there was a fire. This is seriously DESTROYING LIVES DAILY. I’m so exasperated as we STILL wait for MHCLG decision

Already got 8 family and friends coming with me. Sure I can find more. None of us have protested in our lives, but the devastation this scandal has caused me more than warrants it. It’s time this Gov sorted this mess once and for all

Struggled to get out of bed this morning. Feels pointless working 14 hour days when all my money is going on tax and interim fire safety costs. No hope for the future I’ve dreamed of. It’s a living nightmare and I don’t know how much longer I can do it for

Anyone else heard from BSF that they’re looking at revisions to the grant funding agreement, which is slowing down approvals? More waiting game to find out our fate, meanwhile interim costs continue...

After BBC Question Time not asking Robert Jenrick about the cladding scandal, arguably the biggest housing scandal ever in the UK, and a building in Poplar RIGHT NOW on fire, I’m cancelling my TV subscription. It’s an outrage and BBC should be ashamed.

So football is more important than those of us in flammable flats facing bills of up to £100,000, causing people to go bankrupt or kill themselves, with Robert Jenrick on BBC Question Time . Disgraceful.

Absolutely disgraceful they’ve had Robert Jenrick and Thangam Debbonaire on BBC Question Time and not asked about the building safety crisis. Is this world intent on killing off the people who bought hundreds of thousands of dangerous homes?!?

Fellow leaseholders if you wanna feel supported and heard read tweets from people not caught up in this total mess that have watched BBC Question Time tonight. Everyone agrees Gov MUST pay and make us safe

And so it goes on. More sleepless nights, anti-anxiety medication, an inability to plan for a future and a huge bill hanging over my head. All because I bought a flammable flat. Absolutely devastated.

Honestly makes me laugh that an argument not to vote for the amendment is because it would stop remediation happening in next 3 months. What about the fact people can’t pay a £45,000 bill? Don’t think that would hold it up Stephen Greenhalgh?

This Gov has done NOTHING in 5 months since the Rt Hon Stephen McPartland Royston Smith MP amendment was proposed to try and find a compromise to protect the very people that have put them in power. In that time we have spent millions on interim costs. It’s a disgrace.

Note that once again, there was not one single speech in today's debate in favour of the Government's approach

Not one single speech.

No one can defend this.

This. Is. A. Scandal.
