Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers @dcediy Those on social welfare got double payments this week to help extra costs for Christmas, those running dcediy childcare schemes get zero for whole month of Dec, it's time to give up I think too much stress on ECEC services
@BigStartIreland Great delighted to hear that but are you going to support providers fight to get funding to support this, as a primarily ECCE service our fees are set since 2010. We have already sustained increases, inflation & cost of living crisis. Now funds must increase or else we're gone!
This week in childcare we have seen 9 services give notice of closure to parents mainly rural settings with no one taking them over. If government and the @dcediy do not do something we will see a huge number closing in June The Federation of Early Childhood Providers
Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers @dcediy The Federation of Early Childhood Providers Now 10 services in one wk Roderic O’Gorman TD @dcediy Elaine & Federation told you this would happen you ignored the people on the ground, listened to the wrong people. Now take responsibility and fix this! #FailedEROfailedcorefunding #saveourservices #FECP
So this just happened ! #BestPubInIreland 🙌🏻🥂 #AllIrelandWinner The Irish Times IrishRestaurantAward Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge So so proud of our little pub in killoe 🥰 Let the celebrations begin #Yup
Mary Lou McDonald Well your the first to mention providers which is a miracle in itself! But If someone doesn't step in soon there won't be a sector! All this talk of a public model with zero info for current providers who are already exhausted propping up flawed schemes can only lead to closures
Mary Lou McDonald As a childcare provider I read your plan, and the costings you mentioned. Absolutely unworkable, and ridiculously ignorant of the reality. Put it this way... if you're in,I'm out. And even more closures will happen, rapidly
