As if the only way to refit this building and decolonize the architecture is through the cheapest and most banal design imaginable.

The pattern couldn’t be more clear. Every privately owned piece of junk in this area will get rigorous heritage scrutiny, but a 20c city government building? Thoughtless and destructive no problem, if it’s for a good cause.

Like seriously, another glass wall. Freaking groundbreaking. I legitimately want to make glass wall retail in this city illegal. We should demand more than zero effort on the public level of new buildings. I take no issues with the height/density.
