Imagine reading about Ukraine, a country where people are living without heat and light, where incredibly brave men endure bombardment and artillery fire every day, where the whole nation has pulled together to stop barbarism of a kind we haven't seen in Europe since 1944...

I’m old enough to remember when it was only acceptable for politicians to lie about small things. Like why they’re running for office, what they’ll do if elected, how feasible their promises are, who’s funding their campaign, you know, normal stuff

This is one of the most dangerous bills I have seen (and that is saying something). First, these two sponsors don’t know what they are talking about. Second, it is ironic that many in the legislature don’t want people forced to take the vaccine, but are perfectly fine with

difficult to recruit and retain physicians in Idaho where we already have shortages throughout the state. I personally have already spoken with two physicians to try to convince them to stay in Idaho. There are consequences to our words and actions. But, too many elected leaders

Here's how Robert F. Kennedy Jr got it all wrong with the #vaccines on his Joe Rogan podcast. A thread dealing with his entire interview would be endless, so this is sticking to his statements on vaccines.

6 years ago, 9 months before residency graduation, baby girl arrived! My pathetic residency director tried to suspend me for missing 7 morning didactic sessions (to take older children to school) after the birth. I argued this was a blatant FMLA violation. He persisted. 🧵

For weeks, I’ve waited patiently for preliminary application data for the 2023-2024 residency application to be released by the AAMC. And today they dropped. So you know what that means. Yup, that’s right. It’s time to break it down, Winners & Losers style™️. (🧵)

A brief update on USMLE score creep: In 1994, the mean USMLE Step 2 CK score was 200. By 2008, it was 226. And in 2023, it’s 248. (Over that time frame, the USMLE has increased the minimum passing score threshold nine times, from 167 to 214.)

Aged 23, before she’d even earned her PhD, Carol Greider made her #NobelPrize discovery. Along with laureate Elizabeth Blackburn she discovered telomerase. At each end of a chromosome lies a protective "cap" called a telomere – telomerase is the enzyme that creates it.

There is an anti-vaccine industry that profits solely off of scamming people who are not literate in science. They make millions of dollars in donations, "health" product sales, speaking fees, and viewership. But when you get down to it, it's just more classic anti-vaccine
