I just voted against the means-testing of Winter Fuel Payments. I cannot stand idly by and see austerity 2.0 implemented. This is not the change people voted for.

This is pathetic. Jon Trickett is the only Labour MP to vote against the scrapping of winter fuel payments to pensioners who desperately need it. The tears of Labour MPs won't stop pensioners from freezing to death. Some of the Labour MPs crying will end up purged anyway.

Politics UK Keir Starmer has taken food away from hungry children and now cut heating from the elderly. He has betrayed every value that Keir Hardie set-up the Labour Party to be.

I’m sorry but these are not “tough decisions” for politicians. They are tough decisions for those forced to choose between heating their homes and eating.
