As Panorama notes, most private hospitals do low risk procedures on low risk patients. These are the type of operation doctors on their way to being consultants need to do in the #NHS to get the experience they need. This is another way private medicine undermines the #NHS

Keir Starmer seems to have no clue that many of those working in private sector healthcare also work in the #NHS , meaning there is almost no real spare capacity for him to draw on to solve waiting lists that way. Why is it so hard for Labour to work out basic things?

It is rather silly to accuse Independent candidates of being Tory enablers. The Labour Party has fully morphed into the Tory party. Labour is no more. A vote for ‘Starmer’s’ party is now quite clearly a vote for Tory policies with all the misery that will continue to bring us.

I don’t think it’s a ‘hard left’ view to want to live in a society where the people in charge tax rich people properly, prioritise safe healthcare for all, and make sure vulnerable people have a safety net to support them.

I think that’s a centrist mentality, actually.

If you support the NHS and it's founding principles then you are supporting core socialist values.
This is why they won't allow it in the USA, where the most common cause of bankruptcy is medical debt. Who knows what other good core socialist values there might be to support hey?
