Early start this morning for a trip from Oban to Mull (the third island we’ve been on in 24 hours). Left under a hazy sunrise and arrived to blue skies and Golden Eagles - majestic! Headed up to Tobermory (familiar to many as ‘Balamory’) where we ticked off another distillery.

Just arrived in London for four nights at the Royal Opera House with these legends. Worked out that tonight’s performance will be the 30th time I’ll have seen PSB in concert since 1999. Amazing memories, with more to come! Pet Shop Boys Pete Gleadall

“….LONDON!”. Well, tonight was pretty epic. Pet Shop Boys at RoyalOperaHouse - a winning combination if ever there was one! Night 1 of 5 for the boys, night 1 of 4 for me - and my 30th PSB concert to boot!

Night two - Pet Shop Boys Royal Ballet and Opera “After 40 years we are STILL the Pet Shop Boys!” I tell you something, chaps… I’m bloody glad that you are! See you tonight for night three! 👏

Night three - Pet Shop Boys Royal Ballet and Opera I mean, I COULD bang on at length about how good tonight was, and last night, and the night before… … BUT, there’s no need. “It’s in the music, it’s in the song. And the feeling of the warmth around us all is so strong.” So very special.

Night four Pet Shop Boys Royal Ballet and Opera Fourth & final night for me. Gutted to be missing Saturday’s grand finale. However, the past 4 nights have been truly incredible. My Dreamworld journey has come to an end, but ‘the music plays forever.’ Thanks, Neil & Chris. For everything.

In honour of Pet Shop Boys announcing a gig in Blackpool, it was great of Chris to resurrect his Les Dawson impression at the end of Being Boring last night! A skilled pianist, renowned for his quick wit, acerbic put-downs and status as a Lancashire legend… and same goes for Les!
