Donald Trump is planning to be back in Lancaster, PA tomorrow (Sunday) after being here two weeks ago. Lancaster is a Republican county so perhaps he is coming here again because the Republican support here is not as high as needed to help o offset the Democratic vote in Philly!

Yesterday Donald Trump was in Lancaster PA for the second time in 2 weeks. Also yesterday a friend said thee are more Harris signs than would have expected in Lancaster. Is that why Trump is here so often. Perhaps the good people of Lancaster have begun to see who he really is?

Late this afternoon began to get texts to vote for Trump. They seemed to have some inaccurate information and would tend to push me to vote for Harris.

Donald Trump was in town twice within two weeks. A Presidential of VP candidate was in Pennsylvania nearly every day. I am PA proud but believe we need a national election rather than a swing state election. Time to get rid of the electoral college so every vote has equal power.

I am old enough to recall waiting in line to get polio vaccine in a sugar cube. Grateful for this vaccine that stopped the spread of polio. Also grateful for parents that took their children to get vaccinated.

The winter solstice, Christmas and Hanukkah all are about light coming into the world. May light and life and peace become an increasing reality in the New Year!

Listening to President-elect Trump, thinking about what he said, and hearing of the death of Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary makes me think that "the answer is (still) blowing in the wind."

Inspired by the life and values of Jimmy Carter. Seems to me that his life sends a message to what we could aspire to in 2025.

January 21 is the 500th anniversary of Anabaptist Christianity. In the church/state world of 16th century Europe they advocated the separation of church and state. An understanding that continues to be important in our day!

Fifteen states with 41 million people combined elect 30 Senators and Caligornia with 39 milloin people elects 2 Senators. I doubt the founding fathers had this kind of imbalance in mind when they framed the Constitution!

PA Governor h Shapiro in his budget address. "For the first time ever agriculture is at the core of our economic development strategy. Ag is key to our future....Ag creates 600,000 jobs in PA...There are few things more noble in life than working everyday to feed our neighbors."

To balance the budget Trump will need to do more than cut spending. He will also need to increase income by taxation. Otherwise he will add to the huge national debt like he did in his first term.

6.2% of your paycheck goes into social security. plus an additional 6.2% is paid into social security by your employer on your behalf. 12.4% of every dollar you've ever earned has been paid into social security. it's YOUR MONEY.

President Richard Nixon created the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to protect the environment. It seems that the present administration is seeking to destroy this mission.

When the country used tariffs to raise revenue for the federal government farm groups like the Grange lobbied for the Income Tax to shift the tax burden to wealthier individuals.

Given the percent of undocumented agricultural workers it seems that there needs to be e a pause on deporting them if we want to avoid empty shelves of some items in the grocery store Glad for Trumps' pause in going after them, hopeful we find a path to citizenship for them.
