It has been a scorching day here in Cornwall ☀️ Please leave a shallow dish of water out for wildlife, our little pond is being used nightly by visiting hedgehogs. If you do have a pond please make sure one side is shallow or there is a ramp for them to easily get out 💦 🦔🐾

4 years ago today beavers were released at Woodland Valley. Since then have built 8 dams , turned 1 stream into 4, cut peak flow by half, produced habitat galore, seen trout increase in size 8 fold, hosted 8 new birds and a whole bunch of other stuff. Get on with it Defra UK
