The Friday evening RSPB/British Birds birders lecture will be given by none other than Lars Svensson! A household name to every birder in Europe, we cannot wait to welcome Lars to Spurn this autumn!

The project suffered major setbacks like covid, and took a lot of dedication from Rafa, Elza and Dachi. We're over the moon seeing how this labour of love is being received.

Massive thx to British Birds Charitable Trust & Vogelbescherming NL' IJsvogelfonds for funding this effort! 3/3

We’re lucky to see Willow Tits locally. But in this study in the latest British Birds the population went from 70 territories to zero in a few years. No suggestion that habitat change or competition from other species was the cause. What’s going on I wonder?

Please share details of our BTO Youth Camps across the UK with any young people that may be interested! These camps are a great way to find out more about the BTO and its partner organisation's work! They are also great for meeting likeminded people and to share knowledge.
