It’s been a busy few weeks in D.C, and as we recess to go back to our districts for a few days, I want to emphasize to my constituents that I see you. I hear you. And I will keep working for you.

I'm standing at the VA where Elon Musk decided that three veterans, three of my constituents, were waste, fraud and abuse. At a time when the VA is serving more veterans than ever before, these purges are a slap in the face to the those who have sacrificed for our country.

While Trump and DOGE operate in the shadows to fire veterans and VA staff, I am pushing back in any way that I can.   They are taking us backward when it comes to serving our veterans and providing them with the best care.

🚨Oh my god! CNN just broke the news that police investigators believe the guy below did NOT send this letter. In fact, it was apparently sent by a guy in jail for ROBBING him—who wanted to get Reyes deported before he was put on trial. Homeland Security might do this crook’s dirty work!

Rep. Gwen Moore: Not only does Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” include massive cuts to Medicaid and SNAP — it could also trigger half a trillion dollars in Medicare cuts. And she warns: some senators still want to cut more — “Not just to the bone, but to the marrow of the bone.”

Let’s be very clear: even if you are not a Medicaid recipient, cuts to the program will impact you. Without Medicaid funds, rural hospitals, maternity wards, and nursing homes will be shuttered. Having private health insurance won’t do you much good when there’s nowhere to go.

Once again, Republicans are working through the night to pass their cruel legislation to rip health care and food away from millions of Americans to give even more to the wealthiest among us. I urge all my colleagues to oppose debt, death and hunger. VOTE NO.
