I would greatly appreciate if someone can recommend an easy (or easiest) tissue clearing method. I would like to clear some 200-300 um thick fixed brain slices. Ideally it is compatible with IFC. Please RT and thanks.

New publication alert! Dendritic spines are not exclusive to excitatory neurons; interneurons can also generate large numbers of them under specific conditions, with H-Ras being one such factor.😉cell.com/iscience/fullt…

Researchers challenged longhorn crazy ants and humans with the same task: maneuvering a T-shaped object through two consecutive open doorways. Single humans always outperformed single ants, but ant groups could beat human groups. In PNAS: ow.ly/5vat50UwZAo

Today, I would like to honor the memory of Roger Y. Tsien, born on February 1, 1952. His legacy lives with all who use his technologies, including calcium sensors, fluorescent proteins, the acetoxymethyl (AM) ester, & many more! nature.com/articles/nmeth… #FluorescenceFriday

Preprint alert 🔥🔥🔥 - This work is from a Emory Biochemistry Cell & Developmental Biology graduate student in our group, Kate Hardin. It combines in vitro and in vivo approaches to establish the importance of Fascin in brain development.

Please share some work from our lab, which is looking at the function of nanoscale puncta at synapses. Great job to Haani and the rest of our team! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Does anyone have recommendation for expansion microscopy protocols that work on methanol fixed cells in culture as well as brain slices?
