I did not become a Labour member to impoverish vulnerable people. The proposed cuts to welfare should be rejected and the government should focus on improving people's living standards and creating a society that looks after people.

Liz Kendall in today's press release: "This legislation represents a new social contract and marks the moment we take the road of compassion, opportunity and dignity." Bullshit. The whole of the disability movement plus charities plus health providers say it reduces dignity etc.

I am concerned the new Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment Bill is a huge attack on the incomes of disabled people. This will be a simple yes or no on impoverishing disabled people. It's a no from me.
