This mostly wooden model shows the area of St Martin's Church in #Ruislip between 1913 and 1936. It was constructed by Leonard Henry Augustus Brinkman, who we think lived in Ruislip from 1958 until the late 1970s. #MuseumMonday #HillingdonHeritage

Dubbed the “Cathedral of Middlesex” the Great Barn in Harmondsworth dates back to the 15th century. Built in 1426, the barn's size and aisles led to its nickname. It is now Grade I listed and looked after by English Heritage.🌿⛪ #MuseumMonday #Harmondsworth #HillingdonHeritage

The Three Magpies in Harmondsworth was a welcome stop for travellers. One 19th century landlord of the pub met a tragic end after being robbed by his housekeeper. The pub is the last surviving building of Heathrow and is still open today. #Harmondsworth #ThrowbackThursday

The extensive size and elaborate construction of Cranford Park's stables rivalled that of the country house itself. They were a late addition to the complex, and were built in 1720. They once housed up to 28 horses as well as carriages. #MuseumMonday #History #CranfordPark

This sunken wall and ditch, according to a 1720 map, completely encircled #Cranford House. Called a Ha-Ha, it was 575m long and built to keep grazing livestock out of the gardens. It is a common feature of ornamental gardens.🐑🌸 #MuseumMonday #CranfordPark #HillingdonHeritage
