Something that hearing ppl incl hearing disabled ppl don’t seem to know is <10% of deaf/HoH folks use ASL I would like hearing ppl to stop thinking providing ASL interpretation means your service/event etc is accessible to all deaf/HoH ppl. Provide captions/text options too!

I’m all for increasing ASL education & access. But at this point in time we need both ASL & captions for accessibility. Plus some of us will never be able to use ASL no matter how much we want to bc of other issues such as joint pain or even cognitive problems
