Just realised I've been working for the NHS for 14 years today. Next year I get an award. LOL.

Whoever out there thinks non-clinical NHS staff don't do anything all day has obviously never seen me ready to eat my own arm off after spending all day sorting IT issues in the cath lab and only getting my first food and drink of the day at 3pm.

However, can we all take a moment to appreciate that I am wearing my zebra-print docs to work today and probably will from now on. They are proving very helpful when I'm on my feet a lot but struggling massively with chronic joint pain.

Nurses are so great, caring for patients, saving lives and telling me when I'm wearing my cardigan inside-out. We really should pay them more.
