Stumbled upon this destruction along the Chicago lakefront path while on a photo shoot South of the 49th Street Beach. 🤯All caused by high Lake Michigan levels, wind and big waves.

Interesting piece. It's worth recalling that the lies spouted (and believed) by the Jan. 6 insurrectionists are about their fears of losing white power to the rise of a pluralistic anti-authoritarian truly democratic polity.

Inflation woes, panic @ the pump, foreign wars, dissensus among progressive movements, environmental crises, a sense that the good days had come and gone - the late 1970s were a helluva time to be born into a tradition of revolutionary struggle. #MotherCountryRadicals Zayd Ayers Dohrn

Thanks @Reinelaitiere! I know I'm biased, but she is indeed my personal hero. Working with people like Ella Baker and Mary Church Terrell, she was a brilliant movement builder. And her motto, "It takes a spectrum" is one that all Progressive activists can live by.
