Just wrapped up a great night of Ridley College Lower School family music trivia. An entirely student run initiative. So impressed with gr. 8 students Benny and Quinn for all their hard work to make it happen.
Had a fun time with the Ridley College LS boarders on this excursion. They are a great group!
The Ridley College gr. 7/8s are having a great start to their Toronto trip! First stop, Casa Loma. Next up, Fort York.
More fun this afternoon on the Ridley College gr. 7/8 trip. Lots of interesting history at Fort York and on our Haunted Walk at U of T. Now some swimming then off to bed. Another action packed day tomorrow.

Looking forward to our first Ridley College Lower School Sports Day (aka Track and Field Day) since 2019. Student leaders did a great job getting their House Teams signed up for events today. LS Sports Day is June 3rd.
It’s been a busy week for Ridley College Lower School sports. All U14 teams earned spots in championship tournaments. U14 boys rugby won the U14 D2 CISAA championship! U14 girls soccer has their shot in the final four this afternoon.

The Ridley College Middle School students had an amazing 3 days at Camp White Pine to start the new school year. Lots of fun, growth, stepping out of comfort zones, and relationship building!

Nice to get out on the water with the Ridley College gr. 7/8s this morning for the first time this term. It was a very productive row. We appreciated the perfect rowing conditions and having the course pretty much to ourselves. Ridley Rowing Ridley Athletics
My Ridley College gr. 8 classes have had some very thoughtful discussions about assimilation and the residential school system in our current unit. Today we watched & discussed The Stranger by Gord Downie. No matter how many times I have seen it it is always incredibly impactful
Launched research projects in my gr. 7 and 8 classes. Great having expert guests from our Ridley College faculty. @MarcieLew (Librarian/ICT Spclst) and Ms. Dorland (Innovative Learning and Tech Spclst) gave students strategies and tools for effective research and presentations!
The Ridley College gr. 8 Ottawa trip has been lots of fun. Many great activities including zip lining, exploring a cave, snowshoeing, and many museums to name a few. Off to a French Canadian sugar shack tonight, and Rideau Hall in the morning.
Some final stops for the Ridley College gr. 8 Ottawa trip. We are now on the road back home. It was a great trip!
Excited to open up and explore my History Box on loan from the Museum of History today. I’m sure it will spark some excitement and inquiry in my Ridley College gr. 7s tomorrow.
Enjoyed watching some of my Ridley College gr. 8 students pitch their business ideas to the intermediate division, parents, and our three “Dragons” as part of our Individuals and Societies course.
