The first IRE panel I sat on was w/ fellow midwesterners Jesse Hardman and Carrie Brown way back in 2016.

I was lucky to work with Fazil THE CITY’s Missing Them project. He was a brilliant and thoughtful journalist and a generous colleague. He and Liz Donovan spent >1 year reporting on kids who lost a parent to COVID. Their stories led to a NY state bill to help grieving families.
