We are currently developing exciting solutions to what we believe are the two biggest contributors to world hunger, Soil erosion and Unsustainable farming methods!

Worldwide, the damage from soil erosion is some $400 billion a year. Over the past 40 years, erosion has rendered about 30 percent of the world's cropland unproductive!

Did you know that as a result of the 1983 drought in Ethiopia, more than 300,000 people died, that's triple the population of Cork city! Using innovative IT solutions we are working on preventing such disasters.

One of the biggest contributes to soil erosion is bank erosion. River bank erosion is the wearing away of the banks of a stream or river. This can be prevented simply by planting trees before its too late!

We identify sites prone to soil erosion and flooding using OpenStreetMaps before disaster strikes and then implement multiple solutions to save lives and end hunger.

We tackle #unsustainable farming techniques to end world hunger. By planting sensors in the #soil and connecting those sensors to the farmer's phone using the #internetofthings, we can use recommender systems to give valuable advice to farmers in order to increase efficiency!
