My daughter’s parting words as I head out for this important event today: ‘You got this!’ Thrilled to be a part, speaking on behalf of the 59,000 families in Not Fine in School, with my own daughter as both my impetus and inspiration 💪🏻

Let’s try some reframing.

British communities lack opportunities for play & sport

Children’s health & happiness at risk

Decades of under investment in children’s health & wellbeing shows in teenagers quality of life

Gov policies have consistently undervalued play & sport

Great example of how we can see problems within the person rather than consider the stressors and barriers within the environment and the biases within our own perspectives and approaches.

When did educational evangelism become a thing? Why are certain high profile educators determined to convert others to their way? Don't they have enough to do running their own schools without trying to shape the whole system? Do they really think that there is a 'right' way?

Acting for a YP in DOLs proceedings was one the hardest thing I have ever done.

My client is the most incredible and resilient YP I have ever met.

The trauma inflicted, professional incompetence and criminalisation of our young people is a national disgrace.

We survey the parents at our school each year. We ask them how they feel about school, if their children feel happy, how listened to they feel...

Almost 200 responses last time & overwhelmingly positive.

We do this because we care & know that happier parents = happier kids.

The PM talks about people 'feeling the benefit' of lower inflation. Yet lower inflation still means rising prices (on top of previous high rises)

A more accurate phrase would be 'stopping feeling increased pain'

Remember, again, inflation may be down, but prices are much higher than they were 3 years ago. Prices are not coming down. They are rising more slowly.

When individuals have their armour on as they come into a meeting this small but important question helps them consider taking their armour off.

Schools often ask how they can improve mh&wb. Here's a great step you can take: join this free seminar; learn from the experts how to build an evidence base; the learning Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) is immense and their approach is holistic and co-productive.

It's so important to be able to measure the effectiveness of interventions. I would recommend Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) work to any school serious about measuring interventions to support MH.

How can OFSTED inspect a school where 86% of parents would not recommend it to other parents, special needs support is considered poor by 77% of parents of SEND pupils, and 70% of parents report their children are unhappy there, and give it a 'good' rating??
