Due to the weather, preseason workouts have been canceled for today. We will resume Thursday is the weather permits.

This weekend was a small piece of normalcy for the track family. We had an AMAZING time at the Region 6A Indoor Championships!

Nick Tyree came to compete this weekend! Not only did he in the 6A Regional long jump title, but did it on his first attempt. His long jump of 22 feet 7 inches puts him as the number one jumper in the 6A State rankings!! #Limitless

Mahki Holmes has been 1 step away from obtaining an individual regional title for the past couple of years. His hard work finally paid off as he won his first 55m dash Regional title! #Limitless

Mason Steinbraker has been working hard in the off season. His efforts paid off exponentially as he clinched his first regional individual title in the 300m dash and locked in his spot at the 6A State Championships! #Limitless

Jacob Seaborne is no stranger to track and it showed. He had the best race of his life behind teammate Mahki Holmes by .02. Just to give a perspective it takes about .1 for the average eye to blink. Let's see what the 6A State meet holds for this young man! #Limitless

Daria Parham has been a force all year in the shot put! This weekend was nothing different as she dominated the field with a throw of 37 feet 10.5 inches and took the 6A Regional title!! The shot put circle will definitely be a place to keep your eye on at States!! #Limitless

Madison McConico did not disappoint as usual on the triple jump runway. She hop, skipped, and jumped her way to a mark of 40 feet 11.5 inches. This is not only the number 1 jump in VA, but number 6 in the COUNTRY!!! #Limitless

Devyn Parham had a performance of a lifetime! She won the 55m hurdles with the number 1 time in VA, took 1st in the high jump which ties for 3rd in 6A, placed 2nd in the triple jump with the number 2 ranked jump in 6A, and placed 3rd in the 55m dash!! #Limitless

The boys 4x200m relay exemplified what true teamwork was. The team of Mahki Holmes, Mason Steinbraker, Nick Tyree, and Caven Black placed 5th overall and received All-State Honors!!! #Limitless

Daria Parham may be mild mannered throughout the day, but transforms into a MACHINE in the shot put circle! She heaved a toss of 38-01.25 to place 5th overall and claimed All-State honors!!! #Limitless

The girls 4x200m relay fought and clawed their way on the track through a tough field of competitors. The team of Devyn Parham, Shantell McAfee, Madison McConico, and Shakira Conway placed 6th and earned All-State honors!!! #Limitless

Some call her Devyn Parham, but most would see MVP as fitting! She placed 1st in the 55m hurdles(8.06 VA#1/US#5), 2nd in the triple jump(40-8.5 VA#2/US#9), and 1st in the high jump(5-6 VA#2). What an AMAZING performance!!! #Limitless

Madison McConico is the undisputed QUEEN of the triple jump in VA! She leaped her way to a mark of 41-0.50 improving her VA#1 mark and now bumps her to #6 in the NATION!!! She also placed 2nd in the long jump achieving two individual All-State honors!!! #Limitless

Believing in yourself and teammates when all others doubt is the key to success. Through the ups and downs, the failures, and the setbacks, the girls persevered to ANOTHER STATE TITLE!!!

Congratulations to my daughter jordyn henderson :) on her All-East honors at the ECAC Championship finishing 3rd in the 60m hurdles. She is now ranked 2nd on JMU's All-Time Performance list. First collegiate indoor season is in the books. Proud mom. Thomas Dale TF/XC
