Giving black plastic plant pots a new life.🌱🌿 As young trees are planted at Beddington, several hundred plant pots have been donated to the local community Sutton Community Farm to grow new shoots in the local area. #RightStuffRightBin #CircularEconomy #PlasticRecycling 🍀👏♻️💚

Viridor can confirm a small fire was reported at its Beddington Lane transfer station in Sutton, South London, today at 10.45am. The London Fire Service is on site and is managing the fire. There were no injuries and no risk to public health & the EA has been informed. 🔋🔥‍

Waste deliveries are currently being diverted away from the site. The cause of the fire has not been identified but waste site operators know that it is most likely attributed to lithium ion batteries. These batteries are the main cause of waste site fires. #RightStuffRightBin
