For team sport athletes (IMHO)- Squat deep when it's time to get strong in the offseason. Squat shallower when it is time to compete to limit fatigue, also evidence that there may be a really good transfer between 1/4 squats and sprints and jumps in already strong athletes.

Don't forget! The DRILL isn't the goal... It's just the conduit to the SKILL... which is the conduit to performance. If you learn to reverse engineer you'll better program you skills which lead you to be best drills for that skill... now context is gained for the performance.
