A RAF Poseidon was diverted from an ACE exercise on Thursday 25th April for a Search & Rescue mission over the Firth of Clyde, after being tasked by HM Coastguard.

It located survivors of a fishing vessel & provided overwatch of the life raft while the RNLI rescued the crew.

Team were tasked yesterday evening alongside other agencies to select helicopter landing site and assist with casualty transfer off island via HM Coastguard helicopter. Rescue 199 from Prestwick already tasked elsewhere so Rescue 151 from Inverness received at Millport Helipad.

#SpecOps providing a secure landing zone for Royal Air Force training earlier this evening. Our ability to work closely with different helicopters - military, North West Air Ambulance Charity or HM Coastguard - is key to working together at incidents.

Also tasked by Dover HM Coastguard to locate and check on a vessel that had been reportedly in trouble.
Vessel located off #WestMersea and crew found to be safe and well.

This evening, we provided water safety cover alongside the HM Coastguard for the Festival of Light event at #Hull Marina.

Our crew enjoyed the unique perspective from the water, as did the thousands of people who attended, contributing to an uneventful evening for everyone.
