A brief visit to Slimbridge this morning on another grey morning. Several thousand Golden Plover back on the Dumbles but restless and reluctant to settle for too long. One Water Rail and the Spotted Redshank also did the right thing and showed nicely. #Glosbirds Slimbridge Sightings

Walk around the headland and to the north breach screen at WWT Steart Marshes. Reed, sedge and Cetti warblers, common whitethroat. Spoonbill, greenshank, spotted redshank; yellow wags bathing in fresh water pool. Oliver Smart 's Woodchat shrike nice to finish on. Thanks Sam, warden.
