Spent the morning in the familiar position of dipping the Bluethroat in good company at Middle Point Slimbridge Sightings. It may be in it's 4th year but it still hasn't developed a sense of responsibility to hopeful birders. I did have 2 showy Cuckoos✅ 172

OK, I have now learnt how to add images off my camera a lot easier. Sorry twitter, expect more dodgy photos and vids from now on. As an example here is the Nightingale at Highnam Woods on 20/04/24. Excuse the movement I kept knocking the camera with my cap!!

A few video grabs from this morning of the Bluethroat, didn’t have much time to get the focus and exposure right in a 30-40 second view 🤣 The bird is really true to form in its fourth visit to the Middle point reed bed !! Elusive 😤 Slimbridge Sightings

Great to find this presumed arctica Dunlin ssp with Esther on the tack piece at Slimbridge yesterday. Cracking bird, textbook arctica and good to be able to compare it directly to schinzii.
Also Arctic Tern, Yellow wag & Barwit.
