genuinely feel like I'm going insane. they discounted almost 100 scientific studies for ridiculous reasons and instead uncritically parrot the pseudoscientific ROGD conspiracy theory 🙃

The double standards in the Cass Review are not a bug: they are a core feature of how anti-trans concern trolling works. Consider Genspect's guide for parents, wherein it dismisses knowledge based on online surveys...and then presents ROGD as factual based on an online survey.

I've met many ROGD parents over the years. Many I met when their kids were young & sadly as adults they have lost that battle. It's no less tragic to loose a child as an adult than a teenager. I worry that co-morbidities like autism & OCD exacerbate and drive their transitions.

All the focus on ROGD has inadvertently avoided the entire concept of medicalising the body because of an unsupported & impossible theory that a person can be born in the wrong body.

This is extreme body modification that is carried out because of extreme mental illness.

Evidence Based Treatment Sat my #ROGD teen down and we spoke about the #CASSreport ; how important that if recommending amputation/sterilisation we need to make sure the research supports that.

My kid raised #lobotomies as something that we thought was good in the past but ultimately debilitating.

Social contagion. I’ve seen it happen in real time. My 12yo had ROGD within 10 days of getting TikTok on her phone during the pandemic. When I saw what she was looking at, it was adults aiming trans ideology at kids. People like fuzzz99 and Jeffrey Marsh.
