the silver lining of the irreparably flawed Cass review is that now we have the 5'7' meme for years to come

This 'review' is a disgrace and clearly designed to achieve the conclusion they wanted by carefully discounting any inconvenient research that doesn't fit.

Whenever anyone asks for a book on trans women or trans issues generally, this is the first book I recommend. It was also pivotal to my own coming out and transitioning.

If you put forward a paper where they rejected 98% of the evidence that clearly disproved their stance for peer review and publication you wouldn't even get a written response beyond, 'Paper rejected without review, does not meet minimum standards.'

This is extremely important information

The Cass Review intentionally ignores the vast majority of studies showing that gender-affirming care for trans youth works, just so they could claim 'no evidence for gender-affirming care'

It's like a kid who steals your king every game and claims to be a chess grandmaster.

And more evidence that Cass is built on sand.

Can't wait for Gender Critical Twitter to scream 'Trust the science!' about the Cass Review in the next weeks, ignoring the fact that the Cass Review only managed to get to its conclusion by ignoring 98% of the available evidence.

this is what an entire nations healthcare system is using to excuse medical discrimination btw. an “independent” “review” that excludes *98%* of all clinical studies on the topic and then comes to conclusions that *funnily enough* disagree with the *98% they removed*.

It's clear that those involved in #Cassreview cherry picked the research papers to fit the outcome they wanted then rejected all the others.

This wasn't 'independent', it was biased from the outset to drive a specific political agenda.

Question is: What to do about it ?

The deeper irony is there’s never once been a study backing their conversion therapy protocol they push, much less a double blind study that they want us to do. It’s rank hypocrisy and one of the most obvious political medical scandals in history.
