81 years ago he & his patrol were 700 miles west of El Alamein undertaking a 'roadwatch'.
These intelligence-gathering missions embodied the skill & daring of the LRDG.

Community Roadwatch here in Weeton today and more planned. Several drivers 1mph off a warning. Visibility at random times sows the seed speed guns can pop up anywhere at any time. Road users must begin to learn this #fylde #speeding #education #behaviouralchange #notaboutfines

Thank you to Metropolitan Police who came into Rosendale yesterday to run a Roadwatch Workshop for our year 5 pupils. In one hour 8 drivers were stopped for speeding and questioned by the children.

Downs Road near the junction with Banstead Road South in #Sutton there’s a tree down blocking the road. You can detour on Furzedown Road if still there.

The 40mph zone at the Ards end of the carriageway has been extended to the Somme Centre - one to be mindful of, especially with the Road Safety camera vans regularly appearing on this road

It was good to join the Police this morning for a Community Roadwatch on Medfield Street #Roehampton , and to chat to local residents about their concerns and how best to do more speed monitoring. Roehampton Labour Councillors

Y6 teamed up with our local Wandsworth Metropolitan Police to take part in Junior Roadwatch. The pupils used speed guns to measure the speed of vehicles along the A3 over the 40mph limit. They also had a chance to sit in a policed van and talk to the officers. #JuniorRoadwatch
