I found these 3 leafmines on birch today at my fave place on the planet, Slade woods, Monmouthshire. All on the same birch sapling, I'm thinking Eriocrania unimaculella, using the brilliant UK leafmines website key. Larvae vacated into the pot.

Avoided the dreaded Wogan (blankety blank), 4 of 3 species, brindled beauty, 2 muslin moths, and this nfy shuttle shaped dart.

Walk day today (yday was WET!). Plenty of species of moths seen, but my favourite was this coleophora seratella case on birch. I found lots of feeding signs, but took an hour to find this specimen!
