the story literally cannot work without yui, as awful as she is, she is one of the things that makes ily genuinely interesting as a story 😭 it makes sense how/why she ended up the way that she did and her story is genuinely pretty tragic while still never justifying her actions

Mai | KOUSUKE WILL LIVE NO YEAH I AGREE. him and yui have very similar backstories and i think the main difference between them is that nol has shin-ae and co while yui had nobody 😭 (both of their lives falling a part after the death of a love one, both being labeled crazy etc)

Mai | KOUSUKE WILL LIVE EXACTLY. her and yui are both the queens on the chessboard and both of them have a similar mentality. yujing is not against using kousuke, shin-ae, or nol as a pawn if it means getting her way. i love yujing a lot but her morality is one of her most interesting aspects 😭
