South Western Railway transferred into public ownership earlier this morning. Although the legal ownership has changed, your tickets and journeys will not be affected. Please continue to buy tickets and travel with us in the usual way.

The Docklands Light Railway is on strike next month. You know, the driverless DLR, the example always used by the unwashed as a paragon of technology which would, at a stroke, stop striking train drivers “holding the country to ransom” or summat… 😆😏

Just been told that the meeting between RMT and CrossCountry management has ended "very abruptly". Strikes all set for the BH weekend.

If you're out riding this weekend, please remember that your safety ALWAYS trumps driver convenience. Some drivers complain about cyclists taking primary position on country roads, but there's usually good reason for this - potholes can be lethal for cyclists. Stay safe 🙏

Sat drinking a coffee this morning reflecting on another crazy week being a Forest fan and thought about the man who re-ignited everyone’s fire and set us on this path. I hope he’s doing well Steevie Cooper 🎶 #nffc

If people want to know what is going on at CrossCountry, the new issue of Today's Railways UK holds many of the answers. My full page 'Train of Thought' along with my half page news piece reveals what is going on behind the scenes and how staff feel – no names published. Unmissable.

From DfT release about GTR/GWR/Chiltern etc: "SWR has tripled the number of new trains in service in the four months since it came under public ownership..." that timeframe was announced BEFORE SWR went in-house, so while it happened, it's not due to nationlisation.

We are shocked and saddened by the violent attack aboard the 18:25 LNER service from Doncaster to King’s Cross on Saturday evening. Our thoughts are with those injured, their loved ones, and the train crew. We are especially grateful to the emergency responders for their swift

Northfield Road W13 PramCam is back! Ealing Council are happy for parents with buggies to walk in the road on this street. The reason for this, is to accommodate drivers who need to park on the pavement right outside their homes, which is their right of course. Or is it?
