Everyone knows teaching has to be more flexible, but not enough seems to change. So Gráinne Hallahan has talked to leaders like Rebecca Cramer @JonnyUttley Louise Cowley to find out exactly what they have done to force a more flexible system tes.com/magazine/analy…

The work you and National Foundation for Educational Research have done in communicating a complex picture to the sector is world class and I continue to share NFER with teachers and leaders.

Policy win 💪 The Flexible Working Bill has passed its third reading in the Lords and will become law. It was an honour to work alongside Yasmin Qureshi MP on this landmark legislation, which will give millions of employees better access to flexible working. #FlexibleWorkingBill

One of ASCL’s points for the next government to consider. Pay school staff more because schools can’t compete with other industries in terms of flexible working. We can’t offer full work from home or flexitime but schools CAN be more flexible & many are bit.ly/46gmBP3

We are looking to talk to a teacher or school leader who has been able to use flexible working to help manage symptoms of menopause. Get in touch if that’s you and you’d be happy to share your experience. 🙏🏼 Helen Clare, Menopause in Schools

I love that partners are considered too and can have paid time off to be there when needed. Yes, much of this is a women’s issue, but we need support and that means men/ fathers need good family friendly policies too that enable them to be supportive.
