This is a fantastic book! We are incredibly excited about sharing this with teachers in Australia (as soon as the flight with many boxes of books arrives!). Contact the DSF bookstore for more details …

This is such a great lineup and I can't wait to hear them! Registrations are open and if there's any upside to this pandemic, it's that you can attend our incredible conference no matter where you are.

We are so privileged to have spent the week with UK Talk for Writing trainer @Deanatfifty Dean Thompson. The sentence work we have been exposed to has been incredible but more so the quality sentence work and considering the effect on the reader!

To borrow from Louisa Moats, teach writing is (also) rocket science! Talk for Writing provides a comprehensive, explicit + well-designed approach to the teaching of both fiction + non-fiction writing. Thank you @Deanatfifty for sharing your knowledge about this fantastic approach

Congratulations to the outstanding team at Dandenong North PS. I can’t recall how many different language groups you have but I know it’s a *huge* number. Your adoption of structured explicit literacy teaching has been strategic and sustained and your results speak volumes 👏👏👏

This is a very well-deserved result and a testament to an amazing school! Very exciting to see validation for all their hard work and dedication.

This is such a great example of a classroom developing students' transcription and composition skills in an age-appropriate way, and the kids are clearly thriving. Plus you've got to love a story in which the king is eaten by the dragon so the queen has a lovely feast 🤣

Great to see the Australian reading Spine - some gems that should be better known in UK. I remember working with this boy on his story map.
