The level of deconditioning due to social isolation was amazing, even in those who kept up 3x/wk strength training. Lack of everyday activity under gravitational load → substantial impact on muscle → Move more through the day to maintain antigravity muscles, like glutes.

1. Unravelling groin pain - a thread I love this area, but it can be confusing & seemingly complex - esp as there is significant overlap between groin pathologies re clinical behaviour & presentation - and often concurrent pain drivers ‘muddying the waters’ further

Another great infographic made by Jo Gibson & Clinical Edge I particularly like the cluster of tests to help rule out C-spine involvement. Another Q I ask is if they can lie comfortably on the shoulder that is hurting it’s unlikely to be true shoulder pain

Really like this infographic from Benoy Mathew on DGS, an extra-spinal cause of sciatic nerve pain. DGS is thought to the culprit in up to 6-17% of cases within primary care (Hopayian et al., 2019), so it is well worth keeping it on your radar!

NHS in England facing worst staffing crisis in history, MPs warn bbc.co.uk/news/health-62… It is genuinely heartbreaking to see my FY1 wife come home each night absolutely exhausted and so despondent about the lack of staff at work. What can be done??
