This brilliant letter can be summarised as: 1) Your strategy was to protect the NHS. WTF is it now? 2) Stop doing more harm than good! 3) FGS use evidence! 4) Protect the vulnerable - better - and only the vulnerable. 5) For the love of God, stop scaring the life out of people!

Not sure if everyone fully appreciates importance of meta-analysis by Choi et al. Shows ketogenic LCHF diet outperforms lo fat diet especially in those with T2DM. Better glucose control; much more wt loss especially from abdomen; much superior lipid profile. Bye bye low fat diet.

"Patients with COVID-19 were more frequently obese or overweight, and more frequently had diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidaemia..." thelancet.com/journals/lanre… Improving our metabolic health has never been more important. It's time to make it the enjoyable and easier choice.

We had a 6 month window of opportunity to do something, now sole focus on vaccine, not improving metabolic health. No reason why we could not do both? #populationhealth #prevention
