If you are an energy supplier and your income has just been capped; but your costs haven’t and you haven’t been told how the Government is funding the cap- how do you hedge your energy costs?

#Energy pricing announcement for businesses lacks the same detail as the domestic - how it works. Worth noting… wholesale prices will not be impacted, the mechanism will be financial between govt and suppliers based on a calculation. Very opaque.

Lots of news about #energy price falls in the short term markets as its warm and EU storage is full - unfortunately this won't impact domestic end user prices. Long term prices remain similar to #ofgem price cap level (before govt intervention).
