Here's a chemistry-related anniversary, especially relevant to Stanborough School Year 9 and Year 10, starting to learn about Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table. Happy Birthday to anyone who shares it with him! 🎂⚛️

In Biology, Year 9 are starting to learn about how we use and benefit from biotechnologies. With 9x1 today, we reminded ourselves about cell organelles, read an article and completed a Frayer diagram. Well done!

A Big welcome to our visitors for our Open Evening at Stanborough! Science has prepared wonderful and fun activities in Biology, Chemistry and Physics in readiness for the visitors.

We are excited to introduce a new addition to our Science family. You guessed it! She's an Axolotyl and our students have named her Bubbles! Axolotls have the ability to regenerate parts of their bodies. This includes limbs, eyes and even parts of their brains. Welcome Bubbles!

The Fruit Fly journey begins. Our Biologists started their journey to design & carry out a genetic linkage in Drosophila. We used true breeding stocks of a Wild type and Vestigial wing to study the inheritance patterns of the alleles and the statistics of the resulting data.
