I can say that my training is going on well. It feels wonderful to focus my mind and body towards a new goal again and to put in the miles towards TCS London Marathon!

Just watched a CBC reporter go on about how she was talking to Trump supporters all day and they were “definitely not the sort of people you would expect to storm congress today.” OH, REALLY?

A security guard tailed me on my walk home tonight. He demanded if I lived there because “you look suspicious.” I showed my keys & buzzed myself into my building. He left, no apology. This is the reality of black girls: One day you’re called an icon, the next day, a threat.

I wish I had the privilege to sit on the fence. In order for me to do that I would have to strip myself of my identity and that’s not something I can do. It’s not any of our places to pick apart claims of racism in order to make us to feel more comfortable. ❤️
