We need solutions to the homelessness and overdose crisis that will actually work. Bill 6 isn’t it. We can’t criminalize our way out of a crisis. But we can invest in supportive housing, expand treatment and harm reduction services, and reverse SCS closures.

Proud to have authored a letter with No Demovictions, co-signed by 134 orgs, demanding that Doug Ford repeal #Bill60 — which we call the "Create Encampments Faster" Act. Ontario can't afford even weaker rental protections and more homelessness. Read: tinyurl.com/StopBill60

#Bill60 will likely be passed this week, and it will grow homelessness across Ontario — something our food banks, shelters, and municipalities do not have the resources to address. When you wonder why encampments are growing in your community, remember Bill 60. My remarks:
